Ludwig is a drum company. It was created by William and Theobaldner Ludwig. The first product made was a bass pedal made to play fast beats. They then developed a hydraulic action timpani. After that, they created the spring based tuner for timpanis. During the Great Depression, the company merged with the C.G. Conn Company. William Ludwig left and created the W.F.L. Company. The company first created the Speed King pedal.
