The majority of Jose Cuervo tequila is a 51% mixto tequilla, meaning that 51% of its alcohol content is fermented from the sugars of the agave plant.[citation needed] The remainder is fermented from less expensive sugar sources. The Tradicional and Reserva Familia are 100% agave tequilas.
